I had the privilege of looking at a very nice ICCS AU50 1870 dime at the local coin club meeting last evening. The flip wasn't labeled for variety though. To my eyes, the 1 looked repunched. The 8 may have had something going on too, but not as strong as the 1 (the lighting wasn't very good). I couldn't get pictures, but would be very appreciative if anyone could post photos of their 1/1 - 8/8 so I could verify. Thanks so much.

I don't have one but there is a photo on page 124 of the current Charlton's showing the 1/1 8/8
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Thanks DBM, the diagnostics I saw looked different than what is shown in that photo. Anyone else have one?
