I would appreciate the board's opinions and critiques on this PCGS VG10 1825/4/3 CB25c.

The rainbow toning looks weird on it, I guess it's the darkness around the corners. The black toning shows off the wear more. Other than that it's not bad. I kinda like the dark toning especially on the back because it enhances and shows off the design of the coin. The front of the coin has rainbow on it, which is always a plus because a lot of people like rainbows. It's an error coin and that's a plus also. It's slabbed by PCGS, which makes it a plus. Overall, a good coin. Is it yours/are you going to get it?

I do NOT own this piece, it is up for bid on the bay. I am considering it for my capped bust over/date subset but, I am not sure if I like the toning on the obverse and the marks on her cheek?

You know how bad everyone on ebay posts pictures. If your collecting a set and you need it and it doesn't bother you that much, then get it. You can always upgrade. It has rainbow, PCGS holder, and it's an overdate. 3 pluses for resale, at least on ebay. The marks on her cheek aren't that noticeable. I think it adds character
to her, since she is 182 years old and is circulated. How much is she worth? I can't find anything on the 4/3 year in the RedBook. If the price is around for what it's worth, I'd go for it.

I just checked the auction and it is currently priced at approx. 2.5x the market value,IMO...and to top it off the seller is a notorious toner. So, even though the toning on this one looks natural, I think I may pass and wait for another.

If it's 2.5x the market value and the seller is a notorious toner then...

I'd definately pass, unless you absolutely MUST have this kind of toning. These coins aren't too hard to find, so there will be other coins.
