How is everyone doing on the ATB collection? I just started my collection a couple days ago and have found 1 Alaska, 2 Hawaii, 1 Oklahoma, 1 New Hampshire, and 1 Maryland. My album also came with an S Alaska quarter which I thought was neat. How is your collections coming along? They seem scarce. Any thoughts on how much these will be worth when it's all said and done? Thanks!

to the community Are you talking State Quarters or America The Beautiful (national park) quarters. I have all of them up to , not including Mt Rushmore. 2010-2012 are hard to find, but as the State Quarters make their way through the system, more and more ATB's are being minted. Alas, like the State Quarters, they are destined to be worth no more that face value, but fun to collect.

I'm referring to America the Beautiful Quarters. Sorry for the misunderstanding when I labeled the state instead of the national park. I figured they'd be worth more money in the long run due to low mintages compared to State Quarters...

Since I'm not looking very hard I have not see even one ATB Quarter. BTW I'm not looking hard because I have no intention of collecting them.

Low mintage for the series is Chaco Culture National Historical Park and that is still 44,000,000 (22,000,000 P and 22,000,000 D). Mt Rushmore is the highest at 504,200,000. Not exactly scarce, compared to say a 1932 D quarter at 436,800. More fun to collect out of circulation, the kids can't wait tyo go through the change jar every few weeks or so. If you want to collect something scarce, collect the silver proof ATB's. Those are really low mintage. But those are also pricey to buy, you don't get those out of circulation

Compared to the State Quarters, the mintage is much lower. The S minted Quarter I got with the album is 1.4 million.

I have all of the ATB Quarters to date, and am currently putting the ATB silver proof set together, and am almost finished putting together the silver proofs for the states and territories. The ATB silver proofs are fun putting together and a couple have been a challenge to get at the LCS.

The only reason the initial ATB Quarter mintages were so low is because peoplke hoarded the State Quarters thinking that a collection would be valuable someday. The more people took them out of circulation, the more that were minted, the less valuable they became. When people realized that they were never going to be worth much, coupled with the downturn in the economy and the need for money, people dumped their hoards at the bank for cash. With the big influx of State Quarters, the banks did not need to order ATB Quarters, thus the initial low mintages. The mintages are starting to catch up. The S quarters will always be a little more than the P and D. First of all, they are not made for circulation, thus the low mintages. But, you have to purchase them like proofs, ATB albums do not have a space for them (although I am sure that will be remedied shortly) and unless the mint retroactively mints 2010 and 2011, you can never have a "full" set of ATB S mints. I think that all of this will keep the collectability of these down, despite the low mintages.

I'm finding really nice coins in circulation. Very new looking. They may extend the ATB's another 10 years after 2021. That would be pretty cool.

I think some of the ATBs will carry a premium, but not for a half a century. I think it's worth hanging on to extremely high grade specimens.
It's odd how few are in circulation, especially the 2013s. Production figures are high, but I see more 2012s than 2013.
I think the S mint "production" coins will only carry a slight premium. Yes, the mintage is low, but they are only being issued to collectors.

It is odd. You'd think that we'd be seeing more in circulation. I don't know about you, but the ones I see are in really nice condition.

I've been doing quite well in coin rolls lately. Had 3 ATB Quarters in one $10 roll...

I just got $180 in quarters to fill up the state and ATB albums. Of the money over $100 of it was in state and ATB Quarters, so the saturation is there. I was able to completely fill the state folder (p and d) minus maybe 3 coins. The ATB folder leaves a lot to be desired though. Tons of 2013 but hardly any 2011 or 2012.
