Just picked up this coin. doesn't look quite as 'gleeming' in person, but it looks too good to be true. I hope its legit.

Thoughts?

I thought it may have been dipped and coated in something. Its of the same consistency over the entire coin.

Non abrasive metal polish, normally used for silver tableware.

A product here in the U.S. called "Neverdull" will put a shine on a coin like that. It's a cotton material with a chemical added. Rub the coin and wipe off with clean soft towel. As a child, I used to shine up my copper cents with it.

It looks like someone hit it with brasso or something - it's a harsh cleaning to say the least.
