57 6p and 2002 2 dollar. Strangely, I'm happier with the 6p, although it's only worth half as much. (I've picked out 20 $2 so far at 5 or 6/$1 US).

If I was a coin dealer in the U.S., I would have thrown Aussie $2 coins in the $1 junk box. Numismatically, that would be a fair price in the U.S. market.

If you have a substantial number of them, you could do a deal with anyone who has an Australian travelling destination.

I sent a few dozen Australian platypus 20 coins home to the U.S. recently, to be given free to kids in elementary school.

Yes, but they were 5 or 6/$1 US, not $1 US. I know someone with a daughter in Oz; I was going to ask her if she would buy $100AU for $80US.

If you were buying 5x $2 Aussie coins for a U.S. dollar, that's U.S. 20 cents each. The current exchange rate is roughly U.S. $1.80 per Aussie $2 coin. $100 in $2 Aussie coins is worth about $90 U.S.

If you bought 50 $2 Aussie coins for at total U.S. $10,
and you sell them at U.S.$80, you are making a profit of U.S. $70, less postage.

I have an old classic car, that drinks 98 octane petrol like a fish, (1979 Mercedes SEL with a 6.9 litre engine). I also carry $200 in Aussie $2 coins in case I have to refuel when I am on an outing with the car club. At least, I can kid myself that I can run my car for free! I save the $2 coins from pocket change over a period of time.

When I get to $200, I deem that I don't need any more. That is the case right now.

She may wish to buy them, but since the $2 coin is already heavily used in common circulation, she may also may not be greatly motivated to buy them. You are probably better off selling them for a dollar each in the U.S.
