Hi, I have been sorting 20c's out from a A/Guard Bag of 100's. Doing a bit of each, Well this Fellow just found Me. That would be the first for the Year (Total #3). Hope you all like. A Grade of at least Fine. jpl.. My Three Base Lines . The coin in "Question" is the first one. Look's Fine to me Do any "Experienced" Coin enthusiasts wish to leave there humble Opinion? Camera's "angles" can cause unwanted "Illusion's" on the Eye's Perception. Thank's!! Edited by jpl 02/22/2014 1:33 pm

So, JPL. Don't get too upset but I don't think that's a real one. I think it's been fabricated to deceive. The curve on the two just isn't there and the corresponding curve in the wave looks the wrong shape. And there's a change in the colour of the coin above the base of the two that makes me think the coin has been engraved or perhaps punched.

Quote: I don't think that's a real one Quote: it's been altered, tooled somehow I have to reject your reality and substitute my own here I can asure you it is the real deal. This is my third, there's not a toolmarks in sight it may be the way your looking at it (the angle & so) as it seem's quite right at this end; The coin has a Light & Dark patcher's All over. jpl.. PS. Each one has it's own Personality & it's nearly 50 year's Old, so they all look a little different people have said that for each of my Three Coin's My name is Billy not Silly jpl..

wait a sec JPL your 1st coin look suss to me as well until you took a better pic notice on your 1st pic you have glare on the curve that makes it look almost flat but you 2nd pic of the coin has better lighting and makes the curve more noticeable. I think people made an honest mistake doubting this one however having said that don't you think the base of the 2 looks different to the other 2 coins ?

Good Morning Serial, Thanks for your input Mate. All three Pic,s of the Coin's were taken under different (Lighting )& varying (Angle's.) So I think I was up at 3am Taking Photo's under the same Lighting. So everyone could be Happy. jpl.. Ps. Yes someone could get of not knowing how a coin look's under Varying Camera Angle's light/shadow's.

If you look at the downward-sloping shaft of the '2', it is much narrower at the bottom than the same area of the '2' in a normal coin. As this is a marker for the wavy 2, it would seem to support the idea that the coin is genuine.

Looks fine on basis of second set of images. Quote: Do any "Experienced" Coin enthusiasts wish to leave there humble Opinion? This is a forum and you're going to get opinions on the validity of your finds. Rather than sending out veiled insults to people who make conclusions from poor quality photos why not post up decent photos in the first place? If you just want your back slapped perhaps you should look for a different medium?

PS. Do you have bad Eye sight? My Photography get's Published Quite A Bit You asked for opinions regarding this coin and you were given "Unbiased" opinions OK. I will let you in on a little secret jpl, Markn is neither Poor sighted, Inexperienced nor stupid. He is also an accomplished coin photographer and author of many numismatic articles and I personally take his opinions VERRY seriously I find your remarks posted about Markn Ill founded and quite frankly very rude and I imagine an apology should be forthcoming from you on this matter.

I found from taking photos of my own wavy that the results/appearance varied a lot with only very small changes the the photographic conditions. I also had doubts based on the first photos of this one.

settle down guys I agree that it was hard with the 1st pics hence why I didn't actually say anything (that and I have little experience with wavvy's) it is hard to read tone in written text but I don't think JPL meant to insult anyone, he was just being silly (based on my reading of previous post) anyway nice find, I could never find one myself and I went through ALOT of 20's
