I don't buy rolls on ebay. Too many of the so-called "unsearched" rolls have been picked through like crazy. If someone had an inkling there might be a $30,000+ 1969-s DDO in their roll, they would open it no time.

If you are mainly looking for bu rolls, than I don't see why you couldn't buy on ebay.

I sell rolls of 68S through 74S cents on ebay periodically. I pull the S mint lincoln cents I find while penny searching. Then roll them up and sell them 4-5 rolls at a time. I don't have time to search them for errors unless they are obvious ones. I go through too many pennies to search every one with a loupe or magnifying glass. They are not BU as they are circulated. They usually go for about 1.50/roll or so.

The 1969S-1DO-001 is one that would catch your eye.

I do not usually buy rolls but got a good price on a roll of wheat cents with "11 or 12" Indian heads. It was as described with 12 IHC. One of these was an 1862.

Would I buy a roll of 1969S? No. Should you?
