I have a one and it is in F to VF,it "looks" normal in every way for the grade but when I do the drop test even on a carpeted floor it rings almost like it was silver. It weighs in at 5.6g and a normal one is 5.67 Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks all.P.S. No pics Because it looks normal.

Just did it and both coins look like a clad coin when doing the tissue test.

Tolerance range for a clad quarter is +/- .227 grams (5.443 to 5.897 grams), yours is only off .07 grams so it is well within the tolerance range

Ring test by ear is always questionable. The ear is not a fine instrument for detecting variations between sounds. Use a microphone and put the input on a sound spectrum analyzer and you might be able to come to some objective conclusions.
