Ok got an 1982P Lincoln Cent. There seems to be some odd bubbles above the date... and does the eight look double die to you?

Gas bubbles, very common on Zincoln's. You should be able to smash it down with your finger nail if you want. I do not see doubling on the 8, just part of the gas bubble process. Sadly, in my opinion the cent is worth just that, one cent. You may wish to wait for someone else to confirm.

@Sudz.... I thank you for your quick response. Gas bubbles sounds about right... but the date is a 1982 Large Date is it not? It may not be doubled but I am quite sure it is a large variety.

Thanks everyone! The large date was pretty easy to detect... but the "air bubbles" I have just noticed. Is that something desired and treated as an error or undesireable thus lowers the value?
Rest in Peace

I consider the bubbles damage and not an error.
