I am new to collecting and I have been searching rolls for errors. And I got a few rolls of uncir 1973-s so I checked them for errors in doing that I noticed that there is a huge differences in distance between the date and the mint mark some super close others very far and most in between? Is this anything or just normal?

All your coins are 'normal ... some explanation:

USA coin mintmarks were hand applied prior to 1980 ... that involved a craftsman with an hand punch ... as you can imagine the mint mark location varied wildly.

You 1973 coins exhibit this fact ... hand applied mint marks.

Thanks for sharing the photos and question.

The dies were prepared first, then the mint mark punch was added by hand later. Because they are hand placed into the die, the location will vary. In 1990 the mint mark is part of the design. But till 1989 they were hand placed.
