Went to the bank today instead of getting a sealed $25 box this one was open but had a bunch of uncirculated bank rolls 1957-d, 1957-p, 1971-s, 2 1972-s, 1980-d, 2 1974, 1979 all others where typical circulated plastic wraps I get. Every from edges looks red bus.

I usually search for wheat mixed into circulation in the rolls and errors?

Do you think it better to save them bank rolled - not mint rolled? Or to open them and search them?

I know the 1980-d could have a s/d mintmark is worth cracking open, but as for the other I am not sure any ideas or advice?

I'd say search through them all, you never know what you might find.
Rest in Peace

Just to clarify something, there is no such thing as a 1980 D D/S. That was debunked years ago.
But if the rolls are BU then they are still a nice find.

Just threw me for a loop, It was the original reason I got the box was hoping to find a handful of wheat and pulling gems out among the circulated mess if half the fun. then taking those piles sorting by date and searching for common errors. I got 9 rolls of uncir. 2 of which are wheat, two s mints and a 1980-d.

Thanks pyrbob,

I think I have search 3 rolls for that debunked one already, that was on my short list of errors to look for maybe my list is outdated.

I need to maybe create a new one. I only started collecting about a month ago but I got several books of 1909-2014 only missing 1909 s vdb and now I hoping to get a book full of error coins.

any ideas on where I can look for a good Lincoln Cent cherry picking list.

The 1971s may be worth going through. I found a few when crh so I looked them up and the DDO's are worth a hefty sum.

I would open them, search for errors, and then store them in Airtite coin tubes for cents. This will keep them protected from air pollutants.

Here is a link to some coin tubes;

i was looking forward to sorting and picking on the weekend major bummer...
