I am currently filling albums from mint sets. Is it worth while to save the envelopes and inserts? You can never put the coins back in them so whats the value of saving them?
Thanks, Frank

I keep the boxes and COA's from Mint ASE's and sets I sent for grading but anything I have to cut or tear to remove the coins is trash to me.

When I started getting into Blue Ikes, my philosophy was that it's pretty much plastic shrinkwrap. Toss it.

I keep all of my OGP materials. I never plan to sell anything, so the only reason I can think of is that I just want it.

I too, put most of my mint and proof sets in albums, so I throw away the cellophane and smashed lenses. But I keep all the boxes and capsules for everything else.

My OCD makes me keep on imagining, showing my 2011 S ASE from my 25th anniversary set on the Antiques Roadshow in fifty years, listening to the guy say " Beautiful rare coin, if you only had the OGP and COA to go with, it would be worth 10X as much " Doh !

Thanks for the input. I just cant see keeping envelopes and cardboard inserts. I would gladly give them away instead of throwing them away.

Trash day was actually today and OGPs from 04 SPS, 05 SPS, 01 SPS, as well as a few clad proof sets including my 64 I got today (which completed my first page of my kennedy album) all went out the door. It's been a busy week! No reason to keep them. Never been able to figure out how to break them out without destroying the plastic.
