Never bought bullion before but I'm thinking about buying a bunch soon. I see posts about shipping costs but what about just buying in person at a financial institution?
I have looked into ScotiaBank (I'm in Canada) and they sell the Maple Leaf one ounce silver coins. Other than the obvious danger of getting mugged...is this a preferrable way to get some bullion?
TIA

I looked into buying from the bank about 5 months ago, and the price they gave me was about 4 dollars more than my LCS.
I did not buy from the cibc because it was just regular maple leaf, and too much money over spot.
If you don't have a local shop to buy from, I would definitely consider all my cost options before I bought from a bank.
