There is a 1891 RPD-001 and a DDO-001 listed in CherryPickers' Guide fifth edition volume 1. I do not see this coin being either IMO. G-4 Still a nice find.

Nice find! Sadly, many coins are lost to the rolling machines. Hazards of helpless coin.

There are a ton of varieties for this date, but due to wear on this coin, I can't tell either way. There looks like there could be something going on inside the loop of the '9' but it could just be crud, and I can't find anything in the attribution guide that matches it. Was there something in particular you were looking at? Nice roll find. G-4

Raymo, I don't know if I am giving you information that you already know, but your coin appears to be an S-3, bold repunching on top of all four digits to the north. On your coin I can definitely see it on the 8 and 9, but it is unclear on the 1's. I have to believe that it is there because it is the only variety that comes close to matching your coin. The variety carries 3 stars and Snow lists it as one of top repunch varieties for the 1890's It is also mentioned in the Cherrypicker's Guide.

Raymo, that's a nice RPD! I don't have the Snow guides for 1890-99, but I know the biggie for 1891 is a DDO, most visible in the "OF".
