Hello all, forgive me if this is not posted in the correct place, but the coin in reference was minted in Canada.

I have a coin that I am trying to get some info on. Here are the facts: In 1995 this coin was purchased in Memphis TN from a gentleman in a jewelry store by a very knowledgeable jeweler that after inspection, bought it as 24K gold. That jeweler is my dad, and he has had it all these years tucked away and just recently wanted to see if its worth anything. So here I am. I have also been in the jewelry business for 8 years now, and we both have bought quite a bit of gold in the past few years from people in our shop. I say that to say this: We know how to figure out if something is gold and how pure it is. We are confident that this coin is .999 24K gold. Not plated. I have done several hours of searching in the net for any info on this coin and the only thing I have come up with is this. http://elviscoin.freehosting.net/description.htm The way I found that is by googleing pegasus medallions ltd which can be seen on the authenticity wallet. If you go to this site, you will find at the bottom a photo gallery that has pics of the same coin design but in a different authenticity wallet. The site also says that this coin is nickle plated in 24K gold. One of these coins like on that site recently sold on ebay for $14. Sooooooo yea... Can anyone give me any answers to this? Like I said, we are confident the coin we have is solid 24K solid gold. I really cant say any more than that to prove that it is, but remember, we do this for a living. Any help would be awesome, and thanks for reading!

Edit- I just did a specific gravity test on it, and it is corresponding with the gold maple leaf I used as a control.

If the SG is anywhere near that of gold, then it's not gold-plated nickel. This newspaper article/advert from 1977 says they are 24k gold, and should weigh 0.9 ounces.
