I dabble in coin collecting, but have never seen this coin before. It's not mine, someone else posted it. I searched and searched... but I haven't found anything about it. Anyone know?

Looks like a "hobo nickel" style carving of Jesus. The reverse appears to be from the original coin or token; wish we had a better picture of that. I can make out UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and ONE DOLLAR at the bottom. The style of the eagle is similar to the Morgan dollar, but the color looks like brass. Could we have the diameter?

What does the back say? I have never seen anything like it before. I agree with philadelphian, it looks like a carving.
