What is your opinion on the best way to protect better grade coins, AU, Proofs, etc for easy viewing, other than graded slabs. I use Plastic sheets with 2 X 2 pockets. Lower grade circulated coins go in cardboard 2 X 2s, but better grades go in coin-tains, inserted in 2 X 2 flips with description written on paper inside the flip. Would like your opinions and how you do it.

Storage in 2x2 for all my coins.
Right now viewing is inconvenient.
2x2's are in double wide boxes in a safe deposit box at my bank.

Plastic 20 pocket sheets for 2x2 in a nice binder is good enough for me.

Depends on viewing by who? For yourself, just in 2x2's in those plastic 20 slot sheets. Those could be in a 3 ringed binder and the entire binder in a Zip Lock Plastic bag.
No coins are good for public displaying. Just to much theft in our world today.
Almost all of mine are in Albums.

+1 --- The greater the number of people who get to see your coins, the more word of your collection will spread (and get exaggerated) and
the more the probability of theft increases. The best security measure is secrecy and bagged albums kept out of sight are a good start.

Another +1 on keeping your collection secret. I keep all of mine in albums in ziplock bags (my user name may have given that away) so I can easily look at my sets when I want. It sounds like you have a good solution in place and in the end it is up to you.

One good way is to place the collection in albums, stored in zip-lock freezer bags along with some desiccant. It's easy enough to take them out for viewing and recharging the desiccant pack.

I found these in an older post here and I've really grown to like them.

They hold the polyester archival binder sheets for 2x2s just fine. They're easy to stack in the safe and really easy to retrieve for viewing. I would still recommend placing plenty of desiccant with them in the enclosed safe, box, etc.
