Hey 4 bucks is 4 bucks.....that .80 a coin instead of 1.00 a coin. could be even a better discount......im holding out for the last untamed coin also....have managed to get the first ones for 25% cheaper later on.....anything I can do to get stuff cheaper then what the mint sells it for ill try and do. They charge way to much anyhow

Quote: They charge way to much anyhow this is correct in any case.... And for 50c roll I do not understand, why each coin there costs twice face value.

Quote: And for 50c roll I do not understand, why each coin there costs twice face value. Yeah, I remember when they gave out these 50 cent rolls at the bank at face value. No special wrap, but no difference in coin quality. Seems the banks aren't giving out many un-circulated rolls of any denomination these days... unless I'm missing something...

except this - to wait a half a year to get a discount in $4 ? Remember my story in 2013?! I ordered the 50 cent roll in Feb from the mint. By the time they delivered the roll six months later, it had been available from dealers for months and was even on sale a few times. Order from the mint and you might still wait half a year for delivery and not save that $4.

Quote: Remember my story in 2013?! I ordered the 50 cent roll in Feb ... Yeah, it was the 50 cent roll! An at the delivery time CA already has it discounted. One of the unexplainable delays... So, what for 2014, did you order it again from the mint?

Quote:I have a question for you, please: Do you keep the 50 cent rolls (as single item) or break them for the separate coins? If you keep them - what is the best way to insure their mint condition and be able to see/display it - does some clear plastic tube exist that roll can enter into it? Added question: Do you know, from which year RCM started to distribute (to sell) 50 cent rolls? And how they (rolls) came prior the first year of distribution? Great questions. I would love to know as well. Anyone?

For many years you could get a roll of fifty cent pieces from a bank just like you get quarters or nickels now.
A few years ago they stopped making them for general distribution/circulation so it would be a fluke if you found any at a bank and it would be likely stuff from 1968 - 1995 or so.
Now they make limited quantities. Most people would order from a coin store or the mint. I think I'd rather buy one for two or three dollars instead of buying a roll for a dollar each. I don't need twenty-five of them. I doubt they will ever become valuable - I am just filling a spot in my album.

I receive my wrap roll 50c of 2014 monday... So for the delays, this time the RCM are on the good way... Anyway, in my case, since the last year, no delays on my side with the RCM...

Great! That means the message on RCM website awaiting stock is old.
