I found this coin in the bottom my change jar. It's about the size of a dime but it's not fully rounded. If anyone knows what it is, could you please give as much info as possible? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Fake "widow's mite" coin. Replicas are very common because of this coin's Biblical appeal.

Hello and welcome.

Nalaberong is correct, I'm afraid. It's not a genuine coin. This particular replica widows mite is very commonly encountered; we see about four a year posted here on the forum by people as puzzled about them as you are. They are still being mass-produced today and sold via religious supplies stores; the store I linked to in this old thread is still selling them for $1.50 each; other stores sell them in bulk so a church pastor can buy one for everyone in the congregation.

If you scroll down, I see they also sell other, higher-quality replicas in packs of two for $5. They'll even sell you THE REAL THING! for $8.50.
