I can't tell anything from your reverse pictures. Try taking a picture of the reverse how you took the obverse.

Is that area raised or recessed? recessed may indicate debris was on the die

It looks like something like a piece broke off from the die it's on top in the die. I'm suprised that the riddler machine didn't reject this coin as it slide through the size regulator panels. It's truly rare to make it past it seeing how raised it is.

If its raised, maybe it was soldered/glued to a coin holder. PMD

It it was my guess ? It looks as if in process the die had a clog wich caused the die break and the clogged piece fell out cause it's all the same color. It doesn't look like it were glued to anything or compromised just a big Cud with piece of broken die within.

I wonder where this beauty has been hiding for the past 100 years. To be this nice then it shows up in a box of coin rolls. Hmmm...

You know I said the same thing, ha hah :,) it looks as it was coveted for a while. I am going to say that it was in a red and white bu roll which is bank rolled not brought in by a customer and all the pennies within that certain roll were pre 1970, I'm sending this error to be authenticated and definetly slabbed if all is good..fingers crossed and eyes Lol..
