Hi, I have read around and tried to follow the advice members have provided in other threads but am still unsure if my pictures are coming out clear enough. I have a sony cybershot 10x zoom, I have a table mount with two table lamps with the 5000k light bulbs. I also have an illuminated flat panel. Could you look at the coin pictures and let me know your opinions. Thanks

I think your results are quite promising. The images look sharp and your lighting seems to be effective without creating hotspots. You're a little short on contrast, but this is something easily improved in postprocessing.

I think you're a bit limited by the Optimizer posting process, and the extra space you're allowing in your crop. The images are a bit too small for proper evaluation and grading. Crop to the exact edges of the coin because every bit of extra space is filesize the Optimizer has to reduce to fit the image into 100kb. If you have the image size available, shoot for an 800 pixel diameter for the coin, and don't be afraid to host offsite (Photobucket or equivalent) if necessary.

Looks like a good start. Try to get your lights a little higher as there are too many highlights on the sides of the devices. Also, try to align the coin so the mottoes are level. Other than that, plus a little post processing, you're good to go. Here is a slightly modifed version of the obverse...

Thanks for all your help and the welcome to the forum. Will definitely make the adjustments suggested. This photography stuff is tough.
