Well, I finally tried the final machine in the area of my local Walmart, which was marked to accept $1, $5, and $10 bills, and the minimum amount of money you can put in the machine before getting the product, is $3. So, I was going to insert a $2 bill and a $1 bill, and I tried the $2 bill two different ways, and it did not work. The machine kept spitting out the $2 bill, so I just used three $1 bills, just to see if the machine was not out of order, and working properly, and it was.

Oh well. So much for that...

There is a similar problem here in europe with the new 5€ notes. For some reason many machines dont accept them. Very frustrating when you need to buy a train-ticket and are in a hurry. And the 5er is the most used banknote in europe.

I've also read that some cashiers think its false money and dont accept them.

If the machine was marked that it only accepts $1, $5 and $10, why would you expect it to accept any other denomination? You can't say you weren't warned that that would happen.

Because all of the other machines that I tried $2 bills in, were only marked to accept $1 and $5 bills.
