I know the pictures are terrible (I need a new digital camera, any ideas?) but I was hoping to get help attributing this coin. What I can make out is on the observe are letters that don't spell CONST, I do see an L in there so it's throwing me off.

Here is why I think of Valens:

However, mine is also Victory advancing left but has a clear Gamma symbol in the middle left of the reverse. I've spent 4 hours and still can't convince myself lol. I know I ask a lot of questions here but I am very new to this and really enjoy it, so thanks in advance for the help.

Valens?-Contantine?-Constantius?

I'm just wondering if it is not Valentinian I.
Figuring if, what can be seen of the obverse legend, it is "D N VALEN-" or "D N VALENTINI-".

I believe it's Valens. The bust looks more like him than Valentinian.

Thanks guys, even with the pictures and cleaning job done before I got it, you still amaze. I'll keep both Valentinian and Valens in mind as I explore this more.

IF that's a gamma in the left field, I think it would be valens.
