Tokens were always a big deal back in the colonial days. My grandfather was HUGE into tokens and in my opinion was the main focus for him. He is also the reason I am a collector today. This is a proof like late 1700-early 1800 masonic token of Hamilton carrying a boar over his shoulder like it's no big deal lol! Hate to get into a duel with him! Pictures don't do this coin justice. I was hoping to show another token 1776 proof of George Washington, his wife, and their dog outside their lovely estate but I remember you have to have a black light so may have to post that later in week. It has a little bit of Verdi care on it for preservation...sorry

I guess I should have specified. Hamilton and the Boar have a cameo like effect b/c of the dies used on token. Everything else yes I agree doesn't exactly fit the proof spectrum

Update on pretty much every topic I have posted. I just spent a good amt on a digital camera, lighting, everything...and got a good deal too! So when that comes in the mail it will be a coin rodeo and I get to prove to all my critics that I am very far from a flash in the pan. It will be one for the books believe me. Oh and on a side note I bought Roger Burdette's book on WWII patterns. Those die clashes I miserably attempted to shoot actually fall into that category. Very excited to read it and repost pics. Talk to you guys soon! Oh did you check out my 1924 half penny variety post? If anyone has any ideas on what variety it is I would appreciate your input :-)
