GEKO- This is a pretty battered Trade dollar. But, it is obvious that it is a damaged "B." As I'm sure you're aware, these are pretty heavily faked. Does this coin weigh properly, sound of silver, not show signs of casting on the edge, etc?

Proper weight no casting silver... 27.03 g...

I dont doubt the authenticity of the coin in this case. I just noticed that the tip of the trident and the mint mark have a different look than other 1902 Dollars.

Battered you say... doesn't look that bad.

GEKO- ha, yeah I was being a bit hyperbolic with "battered." But it has had a nice life as a circulated piece.

Seems like a nice authentic coin, mint-mark B, nothing unusual.
