How interesting, thank you very much. I wonder who MM was, bunch of coins have come down through the family and just going through them. Done the family tree but don't recognise MM.

Could just as easily be WW.

And the "ding on her head" is probably where someone turned this love token into a button or cufflink.

As for what coin it was originally made from, at 16mm I'd assume a threepence.
