Hello all, I am new to the forum so I hope I am posting in the right place. I have a 1939 5 Francs coin (Position A? Shields are on top when edge lettering is facing upright) and I was hoping I could get a grade and opinion if this is a star in the edge lettering. Thanks!

Hi McCoin and welcome to the community.

The star (more like an X to me) looks a bit mangled. Is there a crown featured anywhere on the edge? If not then it looks like KM#117.2 to me and only worth about 15 cents (according to the catalog).
