I have quite a few but what annoies me the most is when people call U.S. one cent coins "pennies". They are not pennies, they are cents. A penny is an English coin. It does not say "one penny" it says 'one cent". Anyway what's yours?

My biggest coin collecting pet peeve is.... The period of time between spending all of the money I have saved on a coin and saving more money to buy the next coin.

Actually, what annoys me the most is when this happens in reverse: people from America who call British, Australian or South African pennies "cents", even though they quite clearly state "one penny" on them. Do a forum search for the exact phrases "Australian large cent", "British large cent" and "British cent" and you'll see what I mean.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I have two pet peeves that I can think of off hand.
1. When someone posts and says, I'll get pictures later. Blah, blah, blah. I wish people would think and wait to post until they take the pictures. If we have to wait for the pics, we can wait for the text.
2. When someone calls a coin unique when it is not.
It's like Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride, "You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means."

I also hate it when people clean coins because they like them to be "shiny".
I guess some people never learn.

When people say they buy PRE-64 silver. It's PRE-65 Please give me all your 1964 dated quarters, halves and dimes, I'll gladly pay you face value. If I was born PRE-2000 that must mean I was born in the 90's or earlier not the year 2000.

When people horn in on the box of bargain coins I'm looking at when I'm at a coin show. I realize I can't stay there all day, but, please wait your turn.

Sellers that say the coin they're selling is "Mint condition for it's age."

All the junk coin listings that clutter my searches on ebay. It really burns time...

ebay sellers describing coins as "rare" in the listing title, when there are millions available . . . then the "rare" coin started at $9.99 finds no buyer.
