I'm still searching for one. Only been through about 5 or 6 boxes since I started hunting, but I want to find one badly.

Quote: I have been through around 1.4 million cents That's insane. I've been plowing through coins lately. I'm averaging a box a week right now which is quite a bit for me. I'm gonna have to slow down though because I have a half gallon ziploc bag full of 82, 92, 98, 99, 00 and 09 cents I've set aside that I need to look over for errors. It will probably take at least a week to get through those. I think I was spoiled in the beginning though because I found a 1922 D and an IHC in my first few rolls of coins. Haven't found anything even remotely as cool as either one of those since.

getting spoiled at the start is a great way to get hooked. I found 156 wheats in my first box. I do almost 6 a week now and I carry them a mile home and a mile to dump!

That's an awful lot of coins to search. I can't imagine what your fingertips must look like. I seem to be having enough problems getting my hands on 1 box a week. I don't know how I would go about getting 6. I would love to get more, but I don't really have a good relationship established with any tellers just yet. Also, that's a pretty impressive feat carrying 6 boxes a mile both ways. Surely not all at once, right? You would need a cart and mule!

John, I tried to post a reply then the stupid "Error script said Micro...time out..." posting this. This also happened last week. Sending this problem to the boss.

Check the magnet on any coin machine you dump coins in. I found 57 steels on my birthday on the interior magnet of a coin machine and more on the outside magnet. The post of it and pics should be in the Lincoln Cent roll hunting forum...

Early on in my roll searching career I got a complete roll of steel pennies, a customer wrapped roll! That is when I realized you can hut the jackpot any time or any place while roll searching. There really is no magic formula, just keep on looking.
