I've developed quite a passion for polymer notes from the 90s which I would like to share. This was the decade that they were introduced so I guess there was always going to some variety in them.

The $5 changed serial numbering system in 1993 and then changed colour in 1995.

The $10 changed from "blue dobell" to "grey dobell" in 1994 but not before some rather spectacular wet ink transfers occurred.

The first and last prefixes of these notes contain the rarest notes of the series. Some of them have never been sited in uncirculated.

Whilst the values of coins and other bank notes have softened in the past few years, the values of 90s polymer have continued to climb. I'm thinking that they will make a good investment.

The rarest of the notes is the infamous PE94 $20 of which there has been a few threads on this forum already so I thought I would provide a picture of a DF97 $10 I picked up recently in VF condition. It is almost as rare as the PE94 $20.
