Ok here is the deal the coins are on their way to me I have not paid the $400.00 he wants because this proof set totals $250 retail. Now Ngc disclaimer says it's not responsible for the price guide but if I tell them I paid $2,000 based on a ms 67 red cent and an ms 67 Jefferson I would think they are responsible for mismatching this whole set Edited by Mikey07nj 03/07/2014 11:48 pm

The coins are going to arrive on Monday yes I got the seller to send them without money. Already tracked on the way. I can't wait to call Ngc and tell them the guy won't give me my $3,000 back. The Lincoln has a $880 ngc price and the nickel n/a they only graded 7 that high and pcgs never graded one that high.

I really wouldnt have been posting on the internet you intend to lie to them about the price you paid.
Just call them tell them they labeled some proofs as MS by mistake and youd like to know how you can get it fixed which will be free

Quote: I can't wait to call Ngc and tell them the guy won't give me my $3,000 back. That sir is disgusting. I can't stand it when I see new members on here thinking they are going to pull a fast one on the community or any part of it. People like you are whats wrong with this hobby and you need to rethink your morals.

I think's its funny how NGC mislabeled them.
I would try to get NGC to pay you money. Why not? They make millions... (What I said was to be a joke. I wouldn't want anyone to be committing a crime)

I agree with LincolnGuy.
This thread should be moved to the Numismatic Crime section of the forum.

Quote: I would try to get NGC to pay you money. Why not? They make millions.. Cause frauds illegal. More important though morally just because someone else makes a lot of money doesn't mean someones entitled to scam then out of it. And yes I gave a serious answer even though knowing you you were probably kidding around

The op could seek treble damages. If you want to, go spend some time looking up "consumer fraud" "treble damages" "warranty of merchantability", "warranty of fitness for a particular use", "breach of contract" maybe even tort.

First I apologize if I offended anyone. I was kidding and am sorry it didn't come across that way. I will send a note to staff to remove my membership after Monday when I speak to Ngc to let you know the outcome. And thanks baseball 21 for making your point without attacking me. Mostly because even though it may have been in bad taste you realized there was the chance that I was mocking them and rightfully so. As I said the other set the quarter was marked cleaned so how many times did this grader mark cleaned on a coin and the customer who puts faith in them looses hundreds or even thousands of dollars selling at 50% of the value.

Oh and basebal21 I did try to remove the post after your first reply and couldn't find the delete. Not because of legal issues only because I realized it was in bad taste. But again I never expected to be attacked this and will remove mysel Monday after I post the resolution to those that care.

@Dave, what about the LOL? Cause I see when I made my post I forgot to add that.
I know it would be cool to be able to sell them but it don't work that way. Sorry if I offend anyone with my post. I didn't mean to and I like NGC for copper coins :)

Ok I'll try it does the lol go here or after. Their disclosures read if we mark a coin proof or ms by mistake we will not be held liable because the surfaces are so different you should be able to tell. So I'm looking at 3 in by 3 in picture on morphine and percocete for my cancer and I should be able to tell better than the $100,000 per year coin grader who has the coin in his hand. Yes I do have it and if they charge me with fraud and sentence me to 5 years I'm going to have to owe them some come on bad taste again but funny. I know I have no business buying coins on the net when medicated. Maybe if I wash them down with water instead of oh here I go again I better just shut up for now in all seriousness I have no anger towards the comments I brought it on myself. Please don't hate me forever.

I appreciate posts like this. It really makes me happy that I don't have any slabs, don't want any slabs, don't like to buy slabs. If I did buy one of those, I'd never notice the error since I'b be out in my garage with a saw cutting the coins out. I wonder if NGC would be affended it they saw Ngc instead of NGC.
