Did you get one of these that were randomly mailed out? 500 lucky folks got a free slab from PCGS marking 50,000,000 coins being graded since 1986. It is a slabbed commemorative 1986 half. The value is that David Hall (founder of PCGS) personally signed the slab. Search "David Hall 50,000,000" on ebay. there are currently 4 listed. The highest is at $125 with a week to go.

A member on here got one. They don't have a premium.
If that's an auction, that guy is lucky to have it selling that high. Because they only worth around 20 dollars.

to CCF!

Again........coin collecting pet peeve. People who definitively tell you what a coin is worth. A reverse proof buffalo is just an ounce of gold, authenticate as one of the first 500 released at the ANA convention, and people pay $3000 for it.

But ..." It has no premium, those 100 or so people are lucky to be selling those so high."

IMHO anytime there is only 500 of anything that people collect, there will always be a premium.

Truth. Doesn't stop me from laughing at people who pay extra for this one, though.

Someone just bought the $150 BIN. I'm guessing the first auction ones hit $300+.

Agreed.

People seem to be focusing way to much on the coin in it instead of just realizing its a company collectable. Soda/Beer/Cereal collectors have been collecting company collectables for decades but at the end of the day its just a can of beer/soda or a box of cereal.

Plus its got the autograph from someone who has had a huge impact on the coin market and how theyre bought and sold today. Youd want Mike Trout to sign a baseball or Andrew Luck to sign a football ect. Cant really sign a coin so thats something that could appeal to the memorabilia guys too.

But people need to lighten up, its a company collectable nothing more. The mint make a living now repackaging things and selling them for huge mark ups because of the package.
