I got this coin in change a few weeks ago. Almost immediately, I noticed the obverse lettering was significantly thicker than it normally is, but didn't think much of it and just put the coin in my general "cool shiny coins I'll sort through later" pile.
Then I looked at it again in the evening and noticed that the lettering actually appeared doubled in places - almost as if it was blackboard bold (if you've ever seen the mathematical symbols for integer, real, complex etc numbers, that's what it looked like).
I immediately realized that this coin might've been one of these super ultra rare doubled dies (just joking, might not be really all that rare for this series in particular - quality of recent Russian coinage is positively awful - but even then it would still be the first doubled die in my collection).
Unfortunately, I couldn't really see any doubling on the design (other than the lettering), so I wasn't sure if that was an actual doubled die, some sort of Machine Doubling, or just some weird damage (however the heck it could've happened).
Anyway, what do you think this coin actually is? I hope these photos are good enough - I couldn't really make them any bigger

It does seem a little weird, I'm not sure what I'm seeing but I'll agree there is something not quite right.

Might even be just a worn die, I hope someone else has a better idea

Unfortunately, such marriages in our modern coins are not rare.

I never said they were (in fact I think I mentioned they probably weren't).
I just wondered if it's the same thing as the famous rare version

I think it is not a doubled die, it is a breaking stamp.
