To the gentleman who keeps dumping 4k-5k in halves in the Virginia tri-cities area AT ONE BANK,

not only is it rude, but it gives coin hunters a bad name. CRH requires good relationships with specific tellers and when you dump that much it becomes not the teller's problem, but the bank's problem. when you give them that much extra work they, and their other teller friends, will start refusing to order boxes.

general rule of thumb. whether you order boxes or dump at a bank, if it's more than you can carry, don't order it/don't dump it all at once.

To the gentleman who keeps ordering BB&T boxes and then returning them to BB&T,

again, no teller/bank who goes out of its way to be nice to you wants to deal with your sloppy returns. find another place to dump. it's just an issue of common courtesy.

that sounds like good advise ........Here in canada I am having trouble at banks (PaperMoney coolector- but rolls too)as well,,,,I try my best to Not be a pest- doesn't always work though-politeness should get a guy farther.........I did find out last week through changing in my $5.oo's bundles that the one I got in return was gone through by another collector...So my bank has at least 2 regulars.....

.

I keep meaning to ask how many other CRH's there are in my area...

I just got into an 'ALMOST' argument, one teller on duty, due to a staff meeting, she said she didn't want to inconvenience me but it would take a while... I had $400+ in dimes, nickels and cents (THREE BAGS!)... I said I don't want to inconvenience you. It was a politeness argument

So I went to my other bank and got $50 in halves ... got a 1966 40% from them... no inconvenience here

I actually thought from the thread title you meant someone else dumping good old stuff... that to me is a GOOD 'Crazy Dump!' 1919 LWC and a 1929 Canadian cent... those are good crazy dumps

I have those all the time! They ask me how I want a leftover amount when I go in with a $100 bill and pick up the $73 in loose halves they have I tell them rolls, whatever way they want to make it come out to $100. I really don't care because they are all butter or gravy or something like that with the halves.

So Far I haven't found anyone else's dumps, because it seems I am the only one CRHing in my area at the banks I go to. Aside form the tellers that look through loose change.

Great advice. Unfortunately, for every roll hunter that reads a forum, there are dozens that don't. Parking lot hunters, (buy rolls, search in lot, back in to dump and buy more) are the type that irk me.
