Hi everyone, Still very new to grading in general and very little experience with Barber dimes.

It had MS60 written on the flip but I never trust that...

Whats your opinion? I think it is at least a XF40 beyond that I am not sure.

I just want to see if I graded this thing in my mind semi accurately to see if I made a good or bad purchase at $17.

Looks XF-45. I have a feeling that this one is harshly cleaned.

Photos have too much glare and are out of focus to make
a reasonable call but this is not a MS coin.

Agree with XF grade but cannot tell if has been cleaned.

Cleaned, dipped and very soft looking as a result
The coin itself did not see much circulation but it has been reduced to a details designation
I am hoping you did pay more than $15 or $20 for it and if you did, send it back, that's so far from a problem free $50 coin

I was thinking it was a xf-40ish coin and it looked cleaned I paid $17 not a trouble free nice one but better then the ones I got so far.

It was more of a test purchase for me to see if I could grade and make judgements I do want to buy the better one until I get more educated .. this site has in two months time gave me a ton of knowledge. My local coin club only had one meeting in that time frame.

vf 30 details. the hair and liberty are too weak for a p mint imo to hit xf. in fact the more I look the more I want to say 25.
Personally, I feel you overpaid at $17. I would be a buyer in the $2-3 range myself.
