Anyone go?
I went with my adult son and my dad who is retired.
It was fun to wander and see who had what but I did not buy anything. Most of what I was looking for either they did not have or I could get cheaper on ebay if I bide my time.

My son picked up a few Canadian nickels from the 1920s and 30s. Just wondered who else went and what they thought.

I went this morning around 10:30. Didn't get much. Spent a fair bit on this one: https://goccf.com/t/172152
I agree with you on the prices. Being young myself, I find it outrageous how many dealers try to rip you off. Otherwise, you take what you can get, I mean--in Calgary we get 1 coin show a year. I was looking for some small world gold coins and US Type Coins, didn't find anything there but I did flip some of my coins for some profit which is hard to do when selling to Coin Dealers. The Calgary Coin was pretty much the only store which had decent stuff for the right prices. Overall, a bit disappointed.

I went last year too and Calgary Coin was the only place I bought from - a 1925 nickel. They had a few so I was able to get it at 25% off Catalogue Value.

I went on sunday. Lots on nice coins there but mostly higher end. Robert at Calgary Coin had the best selection of coins at the show for all levels of collecting. Probably because he's a local dealer and can bring more stock to the show. Out of town dealers are limited on the stock they can carry, so they tend to bring the higher end items. I never did find the dollars I was looking for. Clyde Vincent had a great stock of coin supplies at the show. I bought a couple of Uni-safe coin books for 2x2's that I was happy to have found. Looking forward to our fall coin show.

Wait we have a fall coin show? Or do you just mean the auction held by the CNS?

Sorry...We don't have two shows a year in Calgary anymore. We use to and I think Edmonton still does. We had two shows in 2012 only because the RCNA was here.

Clyde Vincett's operator Keith has a permanent sales location at the Kingsland Farmers market if you wanted to check it out wireman.

I thought the show was great. Picked up some Pre-Confederation tokens along with some other older Canadian stuff and my wife bought a bunch of foreign bills for her own collection.

It would be great if we had more than one show a year here as this one was packed when I went (Saturday 10:30 to about 2).

I went and picked up a few coins from Hugh Powell at Newcan. For NFLD coins he's as good as they get.

zxcccxz, Clyde Vincett (Keith) has a ton of stuff. Whatever's not at his tables you can ask for and he may have it at his home.

He carries a mix of bullion, NCLT, old stuff, many countries, supplies, etc. Whatever you need he can probably find for you.

His wife is at the tables when he's out and is way less knowledgeable. In a city that is really lacking in coin dealers, I'm glad he's around to purchase from.
