I should have mentioned they were stopped when the mint couldnt keep up with demand for the silver and gold eagles. Theres kind of a lot that you can read into the decision to restart these. The first would be either the silver/gold eagle demand is down or the mint got a lot more efficient at making them. Also could potentially mean the end of the sf bullion eagles if they can keep up enough that theyre restarting this season. Then again sf making them too could be why theyre comfortable restarting these. Im definitely interested to see what effects this has on the other series. The platinum ones have my favorite designs, just not my favorite prices. Report this Post to the Staff

I would've loved to have gotten one of last year's Pt Eagles, but the price killed that idea. I wish they made fractionals, because I'd get those every year without fail. Higher premium notwithstanding, I could do a 1/4oz Pt but the 1oz price level is beyond my reach. Report this Post to the Staff
