Really? Another "Spring Canopy"?
"$50for$50"....this kills appetite for "XforX" series - too much. At least does "Polar Bear" look good?
Greater mintage for glass items = less speculation
Moon Mask and Tribal coins (how many?) in the same release...not good.

Those that sold the glass bumblebee and butterfly early sold the coins well over $200. Some of them went close to $300. Once the market gets flooded, the prices usually drop. |

I just made a phone call to clarify this and you are correct, the sheet I saw didn't say Canada Post so I assumed it was from the mint. It is a new $50 for $50. I'll change my earlier post so I don't confuse everyone. Quote:

Yes the new moon mas is a continuation of the high relief coins.
The frog coin looks really nice but the higher mintage is a downer
The 50 for 50 polar bear looks ok...nothing crazy special
So yeah I guess the maple canopy is now 4 coin series a year...so last year was just 2...super lame if you ask me the new one looks just like the old one. Ill be trying to sell my 2013 maple canopy's because this officially killed the series for me. Just releasing 2 in 2013 and then starting over again in 2014...bad move I'm done with it

I think this will kill the series for sure, that is if last year's fall coin didn't already do so. The feedback I saw about it was not *exactly* positive. Based on what I've read, nothing of interest in this release. |

Coin Chick, you partially correct. Without seeing catalog, I assume that it will be $149.95 (or $149.99) and not $150. On the other forum people right, RCM minted additional 2.500 coins in order to increase profits on the Venetian Glass theme...so why to reduce the price. Thank you guys, for detailed description. I liked the Canopy series, and now not sure about continue. Never owned a platinum piece...price is bad, but let see the mintage. Mask....will continue, if the design (not the mask) not ugly. Added: have an idea about Canopy coins - still they nice coins, so I will just get all 4 seasons. Do not care about the sequence, if Mint did the repeats... Edited by Silveroid
