I took 2 more scans of the coin. I also weighed it and it weighs in at 3.0 grams.

It was in my uncle's Whitman collection that has mostly all AU coins. I think he picked it up in the 1980's.

when the S is so close to the date, the S should be in immediate adjacent to the first 9.
And the dots between VDB should be very clear.

Or, as in this example, the top of the S is even with the bottom of the 9's but it is more to the left than mine is.

So what happens if I send it to PCGS and they find it is a fake? Do they slab it and mark it FAKE or what?

Hello poorman, the S in your coin is obviously above the red line in your picture. PCGS would not slab it if it is fake.
