I'm just getting started in coin collecting and I'm having problems identifying the difference between varieties and errors. Is this anything? It's from a 1967 D penny.
Machine doubling. Not the flat shelf like one you often see, but you can tell the dies moved angling the lower parts of the devices on the motto. Note how the thickness is reduced the devices lower areas where the Machine Doubling happened?
