I am new here and this is my first post (well I posted under introductions first), so please be nice.

This is just a coin that I have and when I took a few pictures I was noticing it looked different then some of the others I have been looking at.

After some research on Google I did find there are a few different 1968-S Lincoln Pennies with errors, I was wondering if this penny I have could be one of those or something else?

I have many other pics of this coins but didn't know what to post or not to post.

I see some machine doubling/mechanical doubling (MD) going on here which does not carry any premium for the coin.
When you submit pictures it is good to send a picture of the entire coin along with it and then some not zoomed in as much. Zoomed in pics like this are good also, we just want to be able to see more of the coin also.

Looks like Machine Doubling which can be seen very well in the "1" & "9" of the date and the "I" in LIBERTY. Notice the "flat shelf like appearance". Here is a good depiction of how to tell the difference: Welcome to the madness. Bob

A gentle nudge.
The US doesn't strike pennies; they strike CENT's.
Look at the reverse.

The 1968-1972 years probably have the most cents with Machine Doubling. Usually it is a lot stronger than your coin. But we are glad you are here.

The plural of CENT does not have n apostrophe in it.
