There are other examples - the ONLY other one I have heard of involves England halfpence counterfeits. In the George II reign about half the contemporary counterfeits are casts. In this ~50% mix a very very small percentage are cast copper blanks struck with dies in a press ... the counterfeiter thinking I had the press and acquired some cast blanks ... money is money ... but they are extememly rare ... maybe <0.01% of the entire GII CC population ... William Anton showed me a couple ... only a handful exist ... as an anomaly probably in terms of their manufacture ... this is different ... regal and INTENTIONAL. Would be nice to own and confirm a few examples ... some C4 experts today even doubt they exist these cast/struck CC GII 1/2d's ... but they do ...
