Does anyone know what's up with this album? I ask because that one online albumstore.com with dansco in it's name is sold out. So I tried ebay, and the seller refunded my payment because he was sold out. So I want to a another seller on ebay and he was also backordered and I'm getting a refund from him now too.

Am I just having bad luck? That's up with these. Anyone know where I can reliably pick one up at a reasonable price?

Looks like Wizard is out of them as well. The 8166 is available, if you change your mind about collecting the proofs.

Thanks jbuck. Ended up going to Amazon who redirected me to one of their 3rd party sellers page who had one for $0.75 more. I was suspecting that Dansco hasn't produced another lot of these in a while and what is out there retails is slim pickin's.

I've been seeing this a lot more recently. Some of the Dansco albums having been running out. Not too long ago, some of the Ike books were getting tough to find.

The 7070 has been on the endangered species list for a long time. One of the reasons that keeps popping up is that the new owners (current generation of the same family) are more interested in their corporate customers.

I fear it will only get worse.

Let's hope not jbuck, although I feel the same way.

Man, I heard about the 7070 scarcity in some other threads. I should keep my eye open and pick one up if I see one even though I'm no where near close to be even attempting to fill it.

My LCD had a few used 7070's kicking around for quite some time. Last Saturday someone came in and picked up all three for $10 each. I asked about the Dansco's (as I knew he had been involved in a similar company)and he explained to me that they print once a year based on demand. I bought the remaining new 7070 he had.

I'm wondering if the 7166 hasn't become scarce because of the increased interest in JFK collectibles in the anniversary year. I'll be sure to grab this album if it's available!

That could be true. We should keep an eye on the 8166 to see if it becomes the next album on back-order.

I see that Golden Eagle Coins http://www.goldeneaglecoin.com/item...half-dollars has this album on their site and it's listed as available.

I looked on Amazon and this was one of the sellers that was listed. I haven't done business with them, so I can't comment on that aspect.

I hope this is helpful.

Thanks Meadowview. That's coincidentally where I ended up purchasing from earlier today.
