Hi...dont know a heck of a lot about American money, but this 1996 penny has no rim ridge on the right side but has on the left side..is this common...thanks.

I don't keep them unless some of the devices are missing,Otherwise I'd have a few thousand of these that have no resale value in my view

Is the reverse of the coin normal ?
If so, then this is a MAD (misaligned die)
if the rev. is missing design on the area opposite
the obverse then it is an O.C. (off center strike)
