I've never seen a PCGS slab like this one, is this one of their older slabs or a newer one?

Different-PCGS-Slab?

The pic is from an ebay auction that ended, and there was no reverse pic.

Can't be an old style slab.
The coin appears to be dated 1998.
Maybe a specialty slab.
BUT
I don't see "PCGS" on the lower right of the slab.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but this reminds me of coins promoted on the HSC and other TV
sales channels. I hope to be proven wrong.

It's blurry obviously but I've seen similar labels but not that exact one.

I didn't suspect it was a fake, I just was curious as to why this coin was in a different slab. I actually really like the look of this slab.

Novelty or specialty type label. They do things like that for LARGE bulk submitters. Most likely it was for a TV coin show or other promotion. I have something similar sitting here on my desk for the 1909 VDB with a picture of the VDB on the label.
