All right, so I picked up a number of NGC slabbed coins over the weekend from a variety of different dealers, but when I try to verify their certification on the NGC website (http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/index.aspx) I get a "No coin was found matching that certification number" message for each and every coin.

I refuse to believe every coin is in a counterfeit slab. Is this a known problem with the NGC site? I even tried signing up for a free account and logging in, to no avail.

If they are very old slabs or very new ones there is a chance that they were somehow not entered into the system; I've had this happen with one of my ANACS slabs before. I mean, are we talking about very valuable coins here? If you bought them all from one person, it may be questionable but making believable Slabs is expensive and because people will search up the cert number, fake slab numbers are paired up with their corresponding numbers for legit coins.

In all likelihood, they're real. May want to shoot NGC an email about it or post on here for extra help.

It's a glitch on NGC's end, none are working at the moment as far as I can tell...

Yeah, it's their site. Not only is it not working but it's now asking for captcha, man I hate those.

I just now had the same problem- 9 different coins that came up "no match" for me. One coin did come up correctly, then the second time it did not. And yes Tbone, the captcha keeps coming up and it's extremely annoying.

Whew- glad it's not me sitting on 9 counterfeits.
