Has anyone ever bought the Statehood Quarter and canceled die set from the mint? I don't know why I keep wanting one of these..Ii know the die is completely defaced except the serial number...it would probably just sit on my desk as a paper weight...wish they'd cancel'em with lines through the face or something like that...I'd love to have one of the Indiana dies...

I purchased a Colorado Quarter Set from the Mint, Denver naturally. I also picked up another one a few years ago but I cannot even remember the state If you want an X cancelled die, prepare to shell out big bucks for one of the Atlanta Olympic dies($500-1000).

I bought the 2003 Missouri D set from the mint.

Last year, a friend gave me a 2005-D Kansas coin and die set she acquired at a coin shop liquidation auction. The COA was missing

I see there are two Indiana ones listed on ebay at the moment. One is a P, the other is a D.

MeadowviewCollector - I was (am still) actually watching those two before I posted my topic LOL...

biokemist6 - I know the Atlanta Olympic dies are the only ones (at least that I've seen) that have the X...i whish the mint would do more like that..either that or at least deface them but leave a trace of what it was...as a Quarter collector it'd be cool to have the die that struck my home state.

Oh well...

Still not sure if I'm going to pop on those two Indiana die sets or not. Just seems like that cash could go towards something better in the collection.

I never gave them much attention. But I am pretty sure there are a couple in one of the
local coin shop in my area. They might be Arkansas ... Not even sure what they sell for.

I have a Peace Nickel/Cancelled Die set, won here at CCF way back in my pre-Mod days. Bobby buried an unidentified link - useless to a WGET script - somewhere in the bowels of the site and I was like, "Oh, this is right up my alley."

Found the link, won the set.
