My Large Size Note Collection

Thanks for the compliments everybody. As a little additional background it's taken me approximately 6 years to assemble this collection that I have so far. I go to a fair amount of coin and currency shows but very rarely do I find a piece that I like in the condition I want in the price range I'm looking to procure a particular piece for. I also watch many of the auctions from the major houses but I don't end up with a ton from there either.

I'm looking to complete my 1896 and 1899 Silver Certificate Sets and will expand my gold certificate selection to include a $50 and $100 offering someday. I also look forward to getting into National Bank Notes more. Currently, I only own the one National Bank Note, Cassopolis. This is because I picked it up for a good value, I'm from Michigan and my name is Cass. This is the same reason I own the Cass County obsolete note. Just cool pieces that I couldn't resist picking up for the relatively cheap prices I paid.

Awesome Collection.

Here is my collection, I really want the 1899 $5 dollar bill, I had a chance once way back in 1982 when I was stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. It was for sale for $300 and crisp uncirculated and I was a poor Airman with a child on the way. I just fell in love with collecting currency that day. I have never been able to get my hands on one again.























The Old Currency is the best, I really wish they would put the artwork back on our currency.

Thanks Hajduk, I am always looking to add on, Its difficult but I would rather purchase a private collection than purchase from ebay. So I place an advertisement once in a while to see what is out there. Thanks for looking.
