I'd guess PMD I can't see grease doing it like that but once again I'm just a collector.

since their all on the bust or raised portion maybe it was already on the planchet? just a guess.

I agree with "FixGuy". It doesn't look like PMD, but it doesn't like strike through either. Strike through normally has smooth edge.

A reason why the metal is not raised on the rim around the site of each impact (like the Arizona crater), is due to the fact that the relief (raised) parts of the coin are less compressed.

bend...You might want to include in your title..What coin it is..(cent, nickel,etc)...and what year it is...makes it better, hard to guess sometimes...Keep em, coming though..
