This shows how observant I am:Just noticed that you're in the UK.I just finished a job getting a house ready for the English Embassy here.Every three years a new UK military family moves in/out. We've gotten to be friends with some and my wife and daughters actually stayed with some that cycled back to England.

If you're talking about sorting and checking a jumbled collection you're going to have a whale of a time.

Don't know if you're talking about a few hundred or even thousands but first thing is set aside an area big enough to sort them.

First get them all sorted into countries, then denominations , then years. Try and get the catalog numbers as you go along and start up a spreadsheet to make a note of what you've got.

As I said I think you're going to have a blast that will stay with you for a long, long time.
